Team Quiz Game

At Hightouch, we use our creativity as an opportunity to connect. I led a Design Cooldown for our team, and one of my favorite ways to connect, learn, and play is through a game — so we played trivia! I built a custom Kahoot-style game just for our design team, with questions spanning design aesthetics, tools and process, hot takes, and personal backgrounds. The fun part: I built an AI-powered question generator into the game so every question was tailored to our team and Hightouch's context — not generic icebreakers. What I loved most was watching newer teammates light up. When you're new to a team, it's hard to find natural openings to share who you are. A low-stakes trivia question helps people learn about each other and find common ground across very different backgrounds and working styles. My takeaway: culture doesn't build itself between sprint cycles. Small, intentional moments of connection — even 30 minutes of trivia — compound into a team that trusts each other, gives better feedback, and does better work together. Highly recommend stealing this for your own team. 🙌
